Applications for persons without a Hungarian domicile
As a voter without a domicile in Hungary, you can submit requests for enrollment in, modification of, extension of, or deletion from the central electoral register.
Attention!
Registration requests for the 2026 parliamentary elections must be submitted by 4 p.m. on March 18, 2026.
As a voter without a domicile in Hungary, you can submit the following requests regarding the central electoral register.
- Enrolment in/modification of/extension of/deletion from the central electoral register

Hungarian citizens of legal age who live outside Hungary and do not have a Hungarian domicile may also exercise their right to vote:
- they can vote for party lists in parliamentary elections and run as candidates,
- they can vote for party lists in European Parliamentary elections (if they reside outside the European Union),
- they can run as candidates in local elections,
- they can sign referendum initiatives and vote in national referenda.
However, in order to exercise their right to vote, they must be registered in the National Election Office's central electoral register.
