Supervisory and legality control body

Act XXXVI of 2013 on Electoral Procedure

Pursuant to Article 14(1) of the Act, the National Election Commission is an independent body of voters, subject only to the law. Its primary tasks are to determine election results, ensure the integrity and legality of elections, maintain impartiality, and, if necessary, restore the legal order of the election. Accordingly, there is no external supervisory body; decisions of the National Election Commission regarding procedural matters may be appealed to the competent authority.
