7/1998. (IV. 1.) OVB resolution - on the funds that can be spent on candidates and electoral

The National Election Committee, acting within its competence laid down in Section 34 (2) a) of Act C of 1997 on the electoral procedure (Ve.), issued the following resolution on the funds that can be spent on candidates and the election:

According to Ve. Section 92 (1), independent candidates and nominating organizations may spend a maximum of one million forints per candidate on the election in addition to the central budget support. The number of eligible candidates shall be determined according to Section 91 (2), which states that the support per candidate is determined based on the number of candidates in the individual constituency, the number of candidates on the regional list per party, but a maximum of the number of seats that can be obtained, and the actual number of candidates on the national lists, but a maximum of 58 candidates per party. A person who is a candidate in an individual constituency and on a list, or on a regional and national list, must be taken into account according to the number of nominations.

In the application of Ve. Section 92 (1), the term "on the election" means that the nominating organization may spend a maximum of the amount of money corresponding to the number of candidates nominated by the organization in any form and limited by the Ve. on the election campaign, regardless of the source of the funds. The nominating organization can freely decide on the use of the amount specified in the law during the campaign, and in particular on its use among different types of nominations and within a single type of nomination, and on its allocation to individual candidates.
