4/1998. (IV. 1.) OVB resolution - on the number
The National Election Committee, acting within its competence laid down in Section 34 (2) a) of Act C of 1997 on the electoral procedure (Ve.), issues the following resolution on the number of individual constituency candidates required to run a regional list:
According to Section 5 (3) of Act XXXIV of 1989 on the election of Members of Parliament (hereinafter: Vjt.), a party may run a regional list if it has nominated candidates in one-quarter of the individual constituencies in the regional constituency, but in at least two individual constituencies.
The fulfillment of the condition laid down in Vjt. Section 5 (3) is not affected if a candidate for the individual parliamentary constituency of the party running the regional list drops out after the notification of the regional list.
