19/2006. (VI. 21.) OVB resolution on the tasks of the local electoral committee in the settlement with one polling station

The National Election Committee, acting within its competence as laid down in Section 105/A (4) a) and Section 115/I (8) a) of Act C of 1997 on Electoral Procedure (hereinafter: Ve.), issues the following

resolution

on the tasks of the local election committee in a settlement with one polling station.

According to Section 31 of the Ve.:
"(1) The local election committee shall consist of at least three members, and in a settlement with one polling station, at least five members.
(2) In a settlement with one polling station, the local election committee shall also perform the tasks of the vote counting committee."

According to the position of the National Election Committee, the concept of "settlement with one polling station" as laid down in Section 31 of the Ve. must be interpreted separately for each type of election. Consequently, in the election of local government representatives and mayors, the local election committee in a settlement with one polling station also performs the tasks of the vote counting committee, even if a separate polling station has been established in that settlement for the local minority government election on the day of the vote.
