17/2006. (VI. 21.) OVB resolution on completing an application form for a minority electoral list
The National Election Committee, acting within its competence laid down in Section 115/I (8) a) of Act C of 1997 on the electoral procedure (hereinafter: Ve.), issues the following
resolution
on filling out the application form for registration in the minority voter register.
According to Ve. Section 115/E (3),"The application for registration in the minority voter register may be submitted on the form according to Annex 11."According to Section 115/E (4) of the same section,the application for registration in the minority voter register must contain the citizen's
a) family name and first name,
b) birth family name and first name,
c) place of residence,
d) personal identification number,
e) declaration that they belong to the given national and ethnic minority, and
f) signature.
The National Election Committee establishes that the handwritten signature is an indispensable condition for the validity and authenticity of the application form. The other data can also be entered on the application form by the citizen in another way (e.g. by typing) in a justified case, in their presence and at their request.
A citizen who is unable to sign their name with their own hand (e.g., physically disabled, blind, or visually impaired, illiterate) may sign the application form with their signature in front of the head of the election office, a member, or a notary public.
If an application form arrives at the local election office in which there is no signature in the place provided for the signature, but any other signature, the head of the local election office shall call on the citizen indicated in the application form to make a declaration.
