General information:
Where a media service provider providing a national linear media service which is not a public service and a media service provider providing a linear media service exclusively available on the internet (hereinafter together referred to as "Media Service Provider") has been appointed as a Media Service Provider by the deadline of - 2024. for the campaign period prior to the 2024 general election of Members of the European Parliament and/or the 2024 general election of local government representatives and mayors and/or the 2024 joint election of minority self-government representatives scheduled for June 9, 2024, the Media Service Provider (hereinafter referred to as "Media Service Provider") shall notify the National Election Commission of its intention to publish political advertising no later than 16 p.m. on April 20, 2024.
The declaration of rights to publish political advertising must be made separately:
- Members of the European Parliament and/or
- local government representatives and mayors and/or
- the representatives of the minority self-government
on the general election.
If the press product intends to publish political advertisements during the campaign period prior to the 2024 general election of members of the European Parliament and/or the 2024 general election of local government representatives and mayors and/or the 2024 general election of minority self-government representatives in a joint procedure scheduled for June 9, 2024, it must submit its advertising price list to the by 16 p.m on March 20, 2024.
The declaration of the right to publish political advertisements must also be made separately for each type of election.
The notification deadline for political advertising and political advertisements is also statute-barred by law, i.e. if the media content provider does not notify the National Election Commission or the State Audit Office of Hungary within the deadline, it may not publish political advertising or political advertisements during the campaign period.
