• Information on applications for the elections of minority self-governments

    The National Election Commission (NEC) has set the date for the general election of minority self-government representatives for 9 June 2024. Voters who apply to be entered on the minority electoral roll by the deadline set by law, may participate in the minority self-government elections.

  • One week to go before the deadline for registering to vote by post

    Hungarian voters who do not have an address in Hungary or in any other Member State of the European Union may submit their applications for entry in the electoral roll until 15 May 2024. Registered voters can vote by post in the 9 June elections, but only in the European Parliament elections.

  • The NEC has drawn lots to determine the order of the national minority lists on the ballot papers

    The National Election Commission has drawn lots to determine the order of the national minority lists which were announced by the deadline on the ballot papers. The deadline for announcing national lists of minorities was 7 May at 4 pm.

    For the 2024 general election of the Members of the European Parliament, 16 nominating organisations received nomination forms from the National Election Office (hereinafter: NEO), of which 13 nominating organisations have announced a list.

    The National Election Commission today drew lots to determine the order of the lists on the ballot paper for the election of MEPs. The deadline for registering lists was 3 May at 4 p.m.

    The President of the National Election Office and the President of the National Election Commission gave an informative presentation to foreign diplomats on the European Parliament, local government and national minority elections of 9 June 2024.

    With the start of the election campaign period, the "Who did I recommend?" recommendation checker service is once again available to voters. The service allows citizens to check online which candidate or list they have supported with their signature.

  • Applications for elections can be submitted

    In addition to the election applications already available, voters can submit their applications for the absentee voting, mobile ballot box applications and registration in the electoral roll of foreign representations for the June 9, 2024, elections from April 4. Applications can be submitted online or in person or by proxy at any local election office.
