Budapest, 29 April 2024 - Dr. Attila Nagy, President of the National Election Office (NEO), and Dr. Róbert Sasvári, President of the National Election Commission (NEC), held an information presentation for foreign diplomats accredited to Hungary on the European Parliament, local government and national minority elections of 9 June 2024.
The President of the NEO gave a detailed presentation on the tasks of election offices, the legal background of elections, the challenges of the joint procedure and the characteristics of the electoral system for all three types of elections. The President of the NEC presented the tasks of the electoral commissions and outlined the most important information on legal remedies.
The information event, held at the headquarters of the National Election Office, was attended by nearly 60 diplomats from more than 45 countries.
