Management of the National Election Office participated in the International Observer Program for local elections in Estonia

Upon the invitation of the Estonian National Election Office, Dr. Attila Nagy, President of the National Election Office, and Dr. Márton Kiss, Vice President for IT and Legal Affairs, participated in the observation of local government elections in Tallinn between October 17 and 20, 2025.

During the program, experts gained a comprehensive overview of the Estonian electoral system and the functioning of electronic voting, with a particular focus on the innovative solutions of e-Estonia. Professional presentations and practical demonstrations provided an opportunity to have an insight into polling stations, the counting of paper and electronic votes, and the functioning of electoral procedures within the legal framework. The program also highlighted the details of internet voting and information strategies regarding the election.

The event offered an excellent opportunity to compare the electoral systems of the two countries and to exchange international experiences, which may contribute to the further development of electoral processes in Hungary.
