VIII. Parliamentary proceedings
The Parliament must make a decision concerning the national popular initiation within 3 months of the announcement. (§20 Nsztv)
The Parliament makes a decision of the initiation of national referendum through Parliamentary Resolutions. The decision of the Parliament must be made within 15 days of announcement of initiation of obligatory national referendum, and 30 days of the announcement of an opinion assessing referendum. (Article (1) §14 Nsztv)
The chairman of the Parliament informs the President on the decision within 3 days. (Article (3) §14 Nsztv) The Parliamentary resolution ordering the referendum must be published in the Official Gazette. (Article (5), § 122 Ve.)
