Announcement of Parties

Parties registered in Hungary may present lists for the elections of the Members to the European Parliament.

Parties planning to participate in the elections must be registered at the National Election Committee following the settling of the date of elections. The registration is to be done by filling out form P1 and handing it in personally or sending it by mail. A copy of the court register of the court registration of social organizations, dated after the settling of the elections date must be submitted with the P1 form.

The National Election Committee makes a decision about the registration of the political party within 3 days of submission of documentation. A re-examination of this decision can be requested from the Supreme Court within 3 days, which also has 3 days to make a final decision.
